Shelter for a cat who won’t use cat flap

I say won’t use the cat flap - she goes out absolutely fine, she won’t come in. It’s a microchip one, and I’ve seen her spooked by the click (she’s very nervous) hut have also seen her be okay with it. That’s a while ago though, she doesn’t really even get near enough to see it off. I’ve seen her both in person and on the ZeroMouse camera kind of waving at it … sigh.

This is by the by (although tips welcome on getting her to use it). Now it’s getting colder and wetter, I think I’d like to get her a shelter for the garden so she can at least stay dry and warm ish while not coming inside. I’ve had a bit of a look … I want something off the ground, easy to at least look inside (if something crawls in there and dies I want to know about it without groping around), and maybe it should have a second door/escape hatch? There are a few other cats around (inc one MASSIVE one) and both cats have been a bit spooked lately, so don’t want someone cornering her.

Any recommendations or things to look out for?

We got this 2.5 years ago, it’s been out in wind and rain and it’s still going strong. It has feet so it’s not sat on the floor, has little flaps to stop the rain getting in (though we’ve taken these off and it stays dry.

We’ve also put a thin little bed in. It’s great.

Can you turn off the mechanism so it doesn't click til they get used to it

Some good options, thanks! There were no options at all on the ‘buy now’ for Katden when I looked before, there’s one now.

@ImADogsDog I don’t think the click is a problem. Plus we would absolutely get intruders if switched off. It’s taken me ages to realise it but a lot of the photos the ZeroMouse takes are NOT my other cat. She’s calico and the attempted burglar is ginger - they look very alike in black and white. He tries to get in a LOT.

Spot the difference!

Our old neighbour left behind a rabbit hutch when they moved. Our cat (who’s kept in overnight and has no need of an outdoor shelter) and the neighbour who inherited the hutch’s cats enjoy hopping in for a snooze. This is one of next door’s cats being bunny.

I got a shelter off of Temu. It's off of the ground which is important. It's lined by silver material which is heat reflective. It's got a window so cat can look out and a large open flap the cat jumps in through. It's got waterproof outer material. I've seen the exact same cat house for over £10 more advertised. I've bought myself ne for stray cats to use. I've also got a large self heating mat to go onto the floor.
