Best playthings for kittens?

Name changed as the kitten pics will out me!

New kitten! 11 weeks and gorgeous, came home purring & playing, confident as anything right from the start.

So tell me what toys or playthings is your kitten (or was your cat) obsessed with?

I've just remembered a previous couple of cats' favourite toys/games.

Get a packet of Rizla papers and let one flutter down - they'd leap all over the place trying to catch them, no butterflies harmed in the process, no damage, no extra bits of plastic under the couch and cheaper than a catnip mouse.

It also meant that as they'd associate fluttery things with the human standing up and taking charge, they'd sit patiently and watch me catch large moths that made their way into the house for release instead of attempting to murder them; they got a Rizla, I got a Hummingbird Hawk Moth to fly free and safe.

Mine loved a bunch of brightly coloured feathers on elastic on a stick

They also adored a highly unsavoury looking toy mouse, known as the mouse of ill repute.

He’s like, my laptop now… Sadly I fear that (work issued) laptop is going the way of the previous one he knackered. I’ve only had it since February. It’s a good job I only do one day a week at home.
