So I saw my neighbour who lives 2 doors down the other day. My cat has been out a lot in the heat. Well apparently a half eaten wood pigeon was left in their garden and my cat was hanging about near it in the bushes twice. No other cats around in their garden.

It could be a fox but I think it’s madam… sorry bird lovers! She’s only caught mice and a couple of small rats before. She must be in her prime at 13!

Has she ever caught one before? Not bad for 13!

My old boy would catch them but couldn't finish them, I had to take a few to the vets over the years... 😢

My new kitten girl leapt at one in the bird bath recently and pulled its tail out! But I learnt that wood pigeons can drop their tail like a lizard to escape predators and it will grow back in 6 weeks or so... She was amazed, confused, then delighted to suddenly find herself with her paws full of feathers... 😆

As far as I know not! I’ve only owned her since over lockdown she moved in with me when her owners moved out. All above board I spoke to them and they gave me her vet card. Her sister moved out and then 30 mins away by car!

My old white cat Snowy years ago brought a wood pigeon into the house alive. It was flapping around, my then boyfriend tried to save it. I can’t remember what happened to the poor thing. They’re quite big, wood pigeons.
