Best calming powder/tablet for stressed cats?

The vet gave us natracalm for a stressed Siamese who wees in inappropriate places and its wonderful but somewhat expensive

Is there a cheaper alternative

I use Zylkene. Capsules, but you open them & sprinkle the contents on wet food. Mine seem to actively enjoy the taste. You can get it from many vets, pet shops, Amazon etc. Doesn't work with every cat, but well worth a try.

Cats are very odd sometimes

My last cat was extremely anxious when I first adopted her & hid much of the time, I tried a feliway diffuser which didn’t work.. the thing which surprised me was that my sister bought her some very strong smelling catnip toys.. my cat just went crazy and started to relax and actually stay on the carpet and play! She had a blankie from the rescue centre and piled her all her catnip toys around it like a nest so she could just lie there to chill out whenever she felt stressed. It was so nice to discover a solution to her anxiety!!

This nutracalm is good but so expensive!!

I would also recommend Zylkene

I use Calmex for my rescue cat as she was really anxious, it’s helped her a lot 😸

Have you tried Feliway plug-ins? They also do a calming spray you can use around the house.

We have a permanent feliway but she needs more

I think we bought the spray, I must see if I can find it
