What food for kittens?

I’ve got two 13 week old kittens. They came to me having eaten Whiskas kitten wet and dry. I don’t really want to keep them on that because I know there’s not much meat content, but I’m totally overwhelmed with the amount of companies selling cat food now, and I’m shocked at how much they all cost.
So is there a compromise? Something with more meat content, but that won’t bankrupt me. Thanks

Thrive kitten food is really good.

Scrumbles. They do a dry kitten food and the tins/pouches are suitable for kittens. I get it from tesco or amazon and stock up when its on offer.

We’ve put our new kitten on scrumbles same as our senior fella, she prefers the gravy pouches but nothing gets left.

Untamed is really good, it’s available in the supermarket and via subscription which is much cheaper! It actually looks like real food, no brown slop! It’s suitable from kitten hood so no moving over when kitties get bigger. They do a £7 trial box.

Whatever you move them onto, OP, you know you need to do it very slowly? Especially if they’re going from something like Whiskas to something really high quality like Untamed.
