Quite by accident we happened upon this little poppet and we’ll be bringing her home from the rescue soon.

I don’t have kitten tax until we have her but thinking of names.

Cannot be a Lily.

I quite like Willow, but wondered if anyone had any other ideas. Would like to keep it to the nature theme so no smudge or Lucy please!

Thank you ☺️

I watch a woman on youtube and her cat is called Joni and I always think that's a cool name for a cat.

GoPogacarGo2026 · 17/07/2026 16:27

Tell us the story then, how did you just happen upon the rescue and happen upon the kitten?

🤨

Holly?

Maple?

Teasel, Cobweb, Wren, Cirrus, Pipit,

istherereallytimeforallthat · 17/07/2026 16:27

It needs to be something you don't mind shouting at the top of your voice out of your back door at 11.30pm.😂

NurseIngaHangover · 17/07/2026 16:29

How about Sweetpea? She is very beautiful and looks so sweet x

WildFlowerBees · 17/07/2026 16:36

Can’t be a Poppy either but that would have been my first choice. We’ve also considered Bea as in Bee 🐝

We lost our Lily 5 weeks ago, those who love their animals will know how hard it is. I said absolutely no more cats. Her brother hasn’t been doing well so we discussed at some point thinking about getting him a companion. A dog companion. We looked at rescues in various places but never with much interest I’m not looking to replace my lovely Lily and it wouldn’t be possible anyway. I never use Facebook anymore but I logged in to delete the account, up pops a post from a rescue I didn’t know existed and there she was, can’t explain it but I felt she would be the right companion she felt so familiar. Applied but never expected to hear back and here we are. I should know by now to never say never. She is a beauty.

Misty maybe? Goes with her bi coloured coat

BendyDickCumbInMySnatch · 17/07/2026 16:50

Queenie or Reenie

NurseIngaHangover · 17/07/2026 16:55

This is the cat distribution network in action... You didn't choose her for you, the CDN did and it is meant to be.
Her name will come to you in time as she trains you in her ways Smile
xx
Ps. We also lost our beautiful lady aged 9 in April this year, we have another little man who is 5, not related, but he was her adopted son, he brings her collar to bed with us every night as he knows that is where she always slept.
We said we would never get another cat because it would feel like trying to replace our best friend but we are now considering a companion for our boy and think of it as giving another cat a home and sharing all the love that cats can give.
Our boy is very easy going and would absolutely love and look after another little cat.

There it is... you got your cat a cat!

Once you love a cat they spread the word that you are a good person and cats will seek you out ( whether you feel up to being another cat parent or not)

You obviously have good cat people vibes and you are a lovely person.
Take this opportunity to love again and post many photos of your beautiful girl as she very photogenic and we all want to see her as she grows 😁

WildFlowerBees · 17/07/2026 18:36

I just hope our lovely boy will be ok with her, the last thing I want is for him to feel stressed after losing his sister. It feels right so I can only hope this was some sort of orchestrated cat intervention and she is just what he needs. Will be posting once we’ve collected her. I’ve never had a kitten before, we rescued ours when they were 18 months old. I’m going to sleep in the spare room with her, dh is going to do his usual routine with his other owner. He won’t miss me, I usually decamp because a superking bed doesn’t have enough space for his highness!
