Help! Cat coming in my house

My cats were spayed earlier this year and are now allowed out.
Obviously with the weather the back door and windows are open so they can roam and know how to jump in through the bedroom window at night.

The issue is that another cat is DESPERATE to get in the house too which is upsetting my girls. It kept coming in through the bedroom window all last night.

Any ideas why it's doing this or how we can stop it. It's a gorgeous thing but it is upsetting my cats and I need this house to be their safe space.

It wants a nice safe cosy place instead of being outside, I wouldn't leave the bedroom window open, there are so many accidents at night, mine are locked in, i don't let them out at night, it's unsafe for them and also me. You could install a catflap in the back door that only they can access instead of leaving the back door open. In the heatwave it can be cooler to shut doors and windows and draw the blinds. You know you have to post a pic

The windows are open at night because otherwise I'd just be a puddle in the morning. The cat is a sweetheart but it's very much a territory type thing going on. It's obviously very well looked after just extremely bold.
I wouldn't actually mind having another kitty come and visit but it is upsetting the girls.
So far this morning it's tried to get in over 15 times.

I do understand the rules. Currently scrolling for cute pics...

Can you try installing one of those fly screens as a barrier?

I know it feels mean, but you need to put it off. Or that air spray that’s (probably wrongly) used as a corrective for dogs. It might scare your own cats- you’d have to check they aren’t near, or accustom them to it first.

Little cat pretending to be tough but is actually a cute baby who sucks my finger.
Big cat is too cool.to have a decent photo. She fidgets so all the pictures come out blurred but is also a black fluff ball.

Lovely cat! Our neighbour told me the other day that our cat had been in his house hanging out with his cats - he’d been in the garden with the door open. I was mortified. We collectively keep cats in overnight, but his boy cat has been known to wander in to our kitchen too, it’s just a bit of a warm weather hazard I think.

We do sleep with open windows at this time of year, but not open enough for a cat to get through. A catflap that is microchip activated might work but wouldn’t solve the window entry thing.

Your best bet is to take lots of photos of the cat trying to break in and post them on MN every time it happens. Eventually someone on MN will agree to adopt said cat.
Worked for me 😹
