My girl has very specific cuddle requirements. I have to hold her upside down, cradled like a baby. She lifts her arm up so I can put my hand on her chest/throat to gently tickle it, she then lowers her arm to hold me in place 🤣

My other hand has to gently and rhythmicly pat her on the base of her tail.
I have to look at her the whole time.
If i look away she raises her head and glares at me.

I couldnt work out how she knew if I wasnt looking at her since her eyes were closed then I realised she can feel my breath so now I have my head turned so im breathing on her and I watch tv out of the corner of my eyes

Aw cute. Our oldest comes in crying when it's been raining to tell us she needs wrapping up and drying in a towel, also whenever we'd been out for a period of time, on our return she would roll over for tummy rubs when we walk up the path, her younger sister has copied this and whenever we walk up the path does the same, even if I've just been out to the bin or car, I say you're just like your big sister she loves the tummy rubs, she then runs on does it again I say the same and then the third time I say ok that's enough tummy rubs now.

My boy cat comes for a cuddle and does a big dramatic flop against me, them rolls onto his back and gazes up at me looking so content.

Girl cat likes being chased/ spanked on the bum and she'll come running over to me in the gardem meowing loudly until I stop what I'm doing and chased her round the garden... I hate to think what the neighbours think of me 😆

Love these ‘tails’ - Cats are so adorable ❤️

Turns her cheek towards me for a kiss. Breaks my heart a bit every time, which is rough as she does it approximately 20 times a day.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/06/2026 22:42

Dances.

He also does a dramatic flump to the ground with an oooft noise when he’s absolutely starving to death, really in grave danger of fading away from the big hunger, and we will all be very sorry indeed when that happens, but the cupboard STILL doesn’t magically open for snacks.

My little rescue cat is very nervy and won’t be picked up. But (over a year after adopting her), she will come and sit next to me, and tuck her little face under my leg ❤️

shellyleppard · 27/06/2026 22:53

@AltitudeCheck my boy does this....we have to pat him at the base of his tail for a good five minutes 😂

JoanOgden · 27/06/2026 22:55

Also the dramatic flumping to the ground to have her tummy tickled, particularly when I've been out.

And sometimes she stares into my eyes and reaches out a paw to gently stroke my cheek.

shellyleppard · 27/06/2026 22:56

My little black fluff ball will sit in the garden and wait for my sons to come home from college.
Won't settle till they are home.
Our old ginger used to walk them to school years ago.
He would walk as far as the main road with us. I would tell him to wait and he would. Some of the parents used to chuckle at him. Very patient understanding cat 😪

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 27/06/2026 23:00

Our curls up with her front paws around her back paws like a little Olympic diver when she's asleep.

Twattergy · 27/06/2026 23:07

Ever since she was a kitten our girl likes to sit very high up on our chests, as high as possible. Quite often she'll settle almost on our neck! She has about 12 very distinct different meows too including one she only uses when she sees her favourite treat food.

jenny38 · 27/06/2026 23:13

Another kitty who likes to lay high up on me, so i rest my chin on her.

Oh so cute. He's like Oliver saying, 'Please sir, can I have some more?' Those little begging paws...

Minimilia · 27/06/2026 23:15

He doesn’t do it so much now he’s grown up a bit, but my boy will jump up on the bed in the wee small hours, and want to curl up and snuggle in the crook of my arm so we can both snooze together. He did it for the first time in ages the other night and my heart just melted!

Rainydays26 · 27/06/2026 23:35

I don't know if this is cute or not.
But when I'm in bed my cat half sits on my head. Uses her paws to hold my head down then grooms my head she nibbles my head and pulls my hair

He’d been a wee stray kitten, so I don’t know where he got it from! I asked our vet and she said she had heard of cats doing it, but never actually met one in the flesh. He mainly dances by his cupboard which is right next to the kitchen bin, and not very aesthetic for photos.

(We’d had to have our lovely girl pts and I was idly browsing the Cats Protection website when I saw a video of him - they actually had the Oliver reference as a caption. I knew he was ours straight away, despite DP saying it was far too soon and we should absolutely not get another cat 🤷🏻‍♀️ He’s an absolute orange pest, but he’s my orange pest 🐈)

LittleBowSheep · 28/06/2026 01:10

When I open the back door for mine to go out she goes to the edge, sniffs the air to check the weather, then comes back in and does a full circle around my legs before going out. Every single time.

SideboobToYouToo · 28/06/2026 01:12

She sleeps on my feet every single night, and she's 14 so that's a lot of feet sleeping

CamilleBeauchamp · 28/06/2026 03:49

Aren't they dear little things?!

Mine brings her favourite foil ball and drops it at my feet or in my hand for me to throw it for her. She looks so solemn, trotting up like a little doggy with it in her mouth for me to play fetch.

Sometimes I get into bed and she's left it on the pillow for me. 😍

Gettingbysomehow · 28/06/2026 03:57

My 16 year old girl (she came to live with me when she was 11) is such a velcro cat. She has to be on me night and day and pats my arm if it isnt cuddling her. She's so cute.

Girlcat walks up to me and pats me on the leg, then goes to sit at her end of the sofa. I have to get up to sit next to her & stroke her neck, throat, cheeks etc, then she wraps her front paws around my hand to direct it to the next place eventually ending up on her belly (where the front paws are replaced by the back ones).

She then jumps onto the back of the sofa and I have to stand behind her with her facing away from me. My right arm is her pillow with my hand trapped between the front legs stroking her chest and under her "arms", my left hand I have to slide between her back legs and stroke the belly while she traps my arm firmly between the legs. The occasional bending my head down to rub the top of her head with my chin or nose is appreciated, as is burying my face in her ribs.

LathkillDale · 28/06/2026 08:32

DBrotherCat will lift his head up to be kissed, if we say “Kiss?”. Then he head bunts us, and rubs the sides of his mouth over our face.

He lifted his head up to the vet to be kissed once, but the vet didn’t take the hint!

DSisterCat came upto me once, and looking at me face to face, gave me a human kiss on the lips with her lips. I can’t say, it was a pleasant experience.

sashh · 28/06/2026 09:26

Mine went missing for a couple of days, she was handed in to a vet and they contacted me (microchips are a wonderful invention).

The vet thought she was in pain, but there was nothing on X-ray but they sent us away with some meds.

The meds made her a bit wobbly and she couldn't do her usual leaps on to us, instead she would come up to you and lift her front paws up, like a toddler who wants to be picked up, it was absolutely adorable.

She likes to sleep on me or on my pillow at night.

Sometimes I turn over, if I have been still long enough she repositions herself.

But if I have moved too much she walks across my head and jumps off the bed.
