We just adopted our first cat a few weeks ago and are all wrapped around her paw already...

It's my daughter's birthday soon and I'd love to get her some personalised gifts related to our cat.

I've had a quick Google but wanted to ask here if anyone has any good suggestions too.

Thank you 😺

A T-shirt with a picture of your cat? A framed photo of them together for her wall?

Mothership4two · 03/06/2026 20:11

How old is your daughter and what sort of things is she into?

There are lots of personalised gifts where you can get photos on cushions/mugs/jewellry etc. Depends what you mean by 'soon', some personalised items take time to produce.

My sister got me some socks with a photo of my cat on.

Toddlerteaplease · 03/06/2026 22:35

Think you can get cushions with their face as well.

A mini felt cat of the same colour and markings (see Etsy)

I found a felted dog Christmas decoration on Etsy that was the image of my sister’s dog, & the first Christmas after I adopted my cat she gave me a bauble with Kitty’s picture on. We both loved them.

They’re lovely aren’t they? I’d love to learn how to make them myself, if only I had the time. Maybe when I retire…

There are online companies that will incorporate your pet’s head from your photo into a ‘portrait’ of your choice from their website. Someone gave dd one of these, nicely framed, with MrCat appearing as some sort of flamboyantly decorated and very colourful nobility. Dd absolutely adores this, and it has been prominently displayed in every place she has lived.

Thanks so much everyone for your suggestions, much appreciated!

Am very disorganised this year as birthday is next week so unlikely to manage anything for then, however I'm storing all these ideas ready for Christmas as she would love them I'm sure... we're all besotted with our new little rescue cat 🙂

Maybe a poster calendar with a photo of the cat? Or a whole collage of various photos?
I think I heard of companies that make plushies based on the photo of your pet but I can't remember the name right now.

I got cushions made of our cat for both DD's stockings, they loved them. I've also had fridge magnets, another good stocking present!

Sorry I'm late back to these replies, thank you all so much for these ideas.

In the end I ordered a mug, cushion and socks (!) and they were all very well received 😁

Thought I would try this but it didn't recognise 'tabby' as a cat breed!

That's cos tabby is not a breed, it's a colouring like ginger or black.

Pudmyboy · 25/06/2026 10:04

Well I didn't know that!! I don't know how to describe my late boy, beyond dark tabby: Shorthair maybe?

EmpressaurusKitty · 25/06/2026 10:15

I think the catch all term for most cats is ‘domestic shorthair’ & then the breeds are Bengal, Siamese, British shorthair etc.
