Humph! We had to put Marvin in a cattery for a few days as we are having work done in the house which would be a nightmare with him around. I knew Maus were adaptable but this is frankly rude ( the bloke in the pic is the cattery owner that Marvin didn't know from Adam on Sunday)😑

Well he looks well installed there.

Puppylucky · 19/05/2026 18:22

We are going to pick him up tomorrow - it could be embarrassing

I’m sure he’ll be happy to see you.
Our dog loves staying with his dog sitter and her boyfriend.

Overtheatlantic · 19/05/2026 18:26

Oh he’s definitely being quite rude 🤣

Oasisinthearea · 19/05/2026 18:30

I’m laughing. Cats are fickle aren’t they. Marvin looks very smug.

Puppylucky · 19/05/2026 18:34

Smug isn't in it! And you just know he got his "new mummy" to keep taking photos until she captured his smile 🤣

He's so ridiculously stunning, how could anyone's lap resist?

He looks like he’s got his paws under the table. He must be a very cool customer. My cat would be in meltdown by now x

Toddlerteaplease · 19/05/2026 22:11

He looks very smug. I felt the same when the cattery lady said Maia had been sitting on her knee. It took me two years to get that far. To be fair though. She did love her and Magic as much as I did. So I didn’t mind to much.

SabrinaThwaite · 19/05/2026 22:26

Perfect! You can leave Marvin with his new bestie whilst you go on marvellous holidays guilt free knowing that he’ll be living his best life.

Win win.

Puppylucky · 20/05/2026 08:26

Yes I suppose it is win win but it would be nice if he had waited just a little bit before launching himself at his new mummy and daddy!

Cats are such little shits 😂. At least you know he’s happy there if you ever need to go away and put him in a cattery again. He’s gorgeous btw (and I think he knows it).

AnnaMagnani · 20/05/2026 08:58

Byron is the same in cattery. Absolute git.

Puppylucky · 20/05/2026 09:09

Am I right in thinking Byron is a Mau as well @AnnaMagnani ? They are such opportunists! Our first boy Elton was rescued after attaching himself to some picnickers whilst Marvin hung around the bin store looking adorable until he was scooped up.

This is the reason I’ve never used catteries. Cats are such traitors. Will do anything for a stroke and some dreamies.

AnnaMagnani · 20/05/2026 09:58

@Puppylucky yes he is.

He used to spend his time making himself other homes all round the village until he beat up too many other cats and got put on house arrest.

Which he has also adapted to very easily.

He also puts up with our female cat who is a psychopath.

Love this, bless him 😊

Sunisgettinganewhaton · 20/05/2026 10:16

I hope you have accepted you have been sacked op..
Dcat has new staff now.

GinaandGin · 20/05/2026 10:21

He is a stunner

Sunisgettinganewhaton · 20/05/2026 10:39

The dcat isn't bad either....
Hahaha

Toddlerteaplease · 20/05/2026 10:48

the smug smile is hilarious.

Pixiedust1234 · 20/05/2026 11:20

Oh my puppy, I thought the guy must be a neighbour or someone Marvin knew... but a stranger? 🙀

And yes, what a smug look on his face! The dictiinary definition of the cat who got the cream!

Puppylucky · 20/05/2026 11:24

Well we dragged him home shouting and he's currently intimidating the pigeon in the back garden through the window, so normal service has been resumed! I do wish we could let Marvin out @AnnaMagnani but I don't think we'd see him again.

I would be deeply offended by that 😂

There's no bloody loyalty, is there? Gorgeous boy tho.
