Older cat is unwell - bit scared

Our 14 year old rescue moggie has been lethargic, off her food and not really grooming or going to the toilet since Sat morning.

She was fine first thing in Saturday but then went downhill - complete lethargy - she eventually ate and drank something so we monitored her and she perked up a bit but is still not herself - barely eating or drinking, very apathetic although will sit on lap, eat treats and drink a bit of water. Vet can’t find any obvious issues - no temperature or obvious lumps and bumps. She’s had chronic kidney disease now for nearly 4 years which has been managed well by a renal diet.

im taking her back in tomorrow for bloods as they want to do them fasted. Dh says why bother as we wouldn’t subject her to invasive treatment or surgery, but I said maybe she just needs medication and if it’s the worst then we can just make her comfortable at home rather than get a shock that she suddenly passes away (she’s seen our DCs through their teens and beyond so it’s gonna be devastating for them - I’d rather prepare them if at all possible).

Aw I’m sorry. I’d take her the vet’s just to see their opinion. My mum always blames everything on the change of weather, says everyone gets fed up even cats! Hopefully the vet can get to the bottom of it. 14 is still young. Fingers crossed
