Do I need my cat’s pedigree certificate for anything?

I'm moving house in just over a week and spent today sorting out any recycling I need to get out into the bins, Any cardboard/paper/old letters I no longer need was ripped up and put in the bin.

Realised once it was too late that I managed to rip up my cats pedigree certificate with his birth name etc on it. It's in a million bits and could not be put back together even if I tried.

Not sure how I would even get a copy at this point or even if I can at all. I have had my cat for four years and the breeder I got him off has since moved away.

I'm not planning on ever rehoming him and I won't be breeding from him as I had him fixed. So would I ever need the certifiacte for anything else?

Is there a governing Society for that breed?

No, its just for fun unless you are planning to breed from him. Shame it has gone though.

I’ve got a pedigree, but as she is a rescue, I’ve never seen it. I’ve never needed it. None of my other Persians had them for the same reason.
