Magpie Cat

Has anyone else's cat/kitten turned into a Magpie?
4 1/2 month old kitten has started collecting shiny things and hoarding them in his secret hiding place. We're having to make sure we don't leave things like screws or small objects around as they disappear - took us ages to work out what was going on as things were vanishing.
We've never heard of this happening before! Anyone else had it?

I had one that used to go out hunting for me in other people's clean laundry baskets before they brought them back inside for underwear. I ended up with bags of neatly folded socks and knickers and the occasional bra, the. In winter he switched to collecting wooly gloves and mittens no idea where from, presumably mugging the local kids walking to school .

Never had anything shiny though!

The neighbours cat used to pinch pegs off the washing line(ours+his). We never did find out where he was stashing them😀

Not quite the same but when I get to the point I can’t find a hairband I know that this little girl has squirrelled them all away in her favourite hiding place..
