She will only eat food in gravy rather than jelly. And it has to be flakes in texture ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™„. She used to have Sheba but donโ€™t really want to go back to that as the quality isnโ€™t great. We have tried Untamed and Marro thatโ€™s a no. She prefers fish flavours.

Gourmet perle is flakes in gravy, and I think Harringtons but I have not tried either with Micia. Breadcat liked the gourment but was not fussed on the Harringtons

I have ordered some Applaws tuna flavours in Broth. Hopefully it meets the fussy madams approval.

Surely you know the cat tax rule by now? Also, sorry I donโ€™t have a recommendation ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ป

Toddlerteaplease · 06/05/2026 12:03

Iโ€™m trying to pay the tax, but itโ€™s saying my photos arenโ€™t the right format.

Scrumbles do one in gravy.

I did wonder if her mouth is bothering her. (She had all her teeth removed last year) but I had a look and canโ€™t see anything obvious, plus she was quite happy to gum by hand when wrestling with me this morning. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I donโ€™t think she chews her dry food.

I have a toothless cat too, he had them all out to try and control his stomatitis. We use Katkin (400kcal packs are the most economical) to feed him and his sister. It arrives frozen.

Katkin ยฃ10 trial

Applelaws seems to have gone down well. I wonder if she was just bored with only 3 flavours. I think Iโ€™m going to have to watch her weight though . Sheโ€™s beginning to look a bit chunk.

Girl cat will only eat gravy as well. She is currently refusing Gourmet Perle but will pick at Felix Tasty Shreds, as long as there's some dry biscuits on top and I stand and watch her eat! God she's high maintenance!!!

KittenKaboodle · 10/05/2026 15:40

Itโ€™s not a complete food (or cheap, but then neither is Thrive), but my cat loves this disgusting combo as a treat.

https://www.petscorner.co.uk/cat/fish4cats-tuna-cheese-wet-cat-food-70g/

Fish4Cats make a large range of tuna-in-gravy with variously ridiculous additions (crab anyone? Oh yeah, DCat likes that one too..)

@KittenKaboodletuna with cheese?!!

I canโ€™t tell if thatโ€™s horror at the very concept or disbelief that the perfect topping for jacket potatoes is my idea of hell (if not the catโ€™s). ๐Ÿ˜น

RonnSeall · 11/05/2026 00:01

My old cat with half its teeth missing and a fondness for gravy absolutely loves Katkin - all mashed up. Which is strange because itโ€™s not as wet as most other cat foods.

its not cheap but Iโ€™ve definitely noticed an improvement in his coat, energy levels and weight since he started on it.

minipie · 11/05/2026 00:10

Mine loves the Encore pouches although they need to be used alongside something else I think (she has biscuits too)

Toddlerteaplease · 11/05/2026 08:59

@KittenKaboodleits such a weird combination!

One of mine has no teeth. They continue to eat everything. All soft food and hard stuf - it hadn't had an impact on that.

It has impacted Mice. Their partner in crime eats them up but toothless just helps play before the kill and might have a lick.

It is rare I see this and I try to intervene if I am about - usually in the night and I come down to entrails.
