Not sure what's going on with my cat

I'm wondering if anyone else has a cat with this issue and what might be causing it.

I'm sure my cat is constipated. She has episodes of making very frequent visits to the tray, like literally several times a minute, yelling her head off, before usually producing a poo or two, some of which is small and quite hard.

But here's the catch. She will do tiny frequent wees at the same time. This only seems to occur when she's trying to poo.

Last year she had problems with urinating a lot and yelling but that vet said it was probably anxiety related cystitis as nothing showed up.

I took her to another vet recently and he said she doesn't feel constipated. He seemed uninterested in that side of things and thought her bladder was the issue. She's having blood tests next week.

However, her wees seem fine unless she's trying to poo 🫤 she only yells when a poo is looming.

She has lost weight which caught his attention but that may be as she's eating more fish based wet food. Vet said to only give her dry food but that seems to be increasing her problems with pooing.

Has anyone else had a cat who produces small frequent wees when trying to poo? Does this sound like constipation or a bigger issue? Obviously the blood tests will rule some things out but I'm concerned that the vet dismissed my suggestion that my cat is suffering with constipation.

Personally I'd see another vet. She could have an impaction or something causing pain. Can you book in tomorrow? Hope she's better soon

Yes my girl had something this. Sounds like constipation. She has laxapet from the vet but you can get it on Amazon and just wet food. Helped a lot. Would definitely recommend getting a second opinion though.

Sounds like her anal glands are full and uncomfortable or infected! The meowing whilst pooping and weeing are tell tale signs.
