Stronghold flea stuff - side effects?

We get this from the vet but each month there seems to be some odd reaction to it - anyone else? Last month we had loose poo with blood, which the vet diagnosed as colitis and said it could be linked. She said the flea treatment also contains a worker, but we do get a separate worker from them too to give every three months. I gave him the flea treatment on Saturday and the last couple of days he’s not been eating all his food. He’s absolutely fine in himself, but I just googled “cat off food after Stronghold” and can see I made the same search a couple of months ago (and that it’s listed as a side effect!).

Can the vet prescribe something else? He does go out but doesn’t especially roam so it’s just preventative treatment. Maybe we don’t even need to do it each month?

Live scene cat tax attached.

Mine get nexgard combo. I dont need a separate wormer any more.

Ours get Felpreva - combined flea and worm spot on used every three —six— months

Thank you for replying. Obviously I meant wormer, not worker - stupid autocorrect. We’re in for boosters next month so I’ll ask if we can have something different then. (Obviously since I posted the thread he’s gone to the kitchen, eaten his dinner all up, and is now away out.)
