5 year old male indoor cat. Noticed one quite loose stool in the litter box before bed last night. We have two cats but it’s definitely this one as he never buries his poo. The other one does. This morning we have gotten up and there are two more loose quite liquidy poos and some vomit in the hallway. I googled and it said not to starve cats but to give smaller bland meals. He is otherwise fine in himself, probably a bit more irritable with our other cat than usual but walking around fine, still interested in food, no lethargy (well, no more than his usual laziness) and purrs when you pet him. Have firmly stroked him and his tummy etc and no obvious indication it’s causing pain or discomfort.
hebhasnt had this before, would you take to the vets tomorrow or leave until Tuesday and give him a bit more time to get over it himself? They are indoor cats so he hasn’t eaten anything from outside. No changes to food etc. He is drinking normally - has always loved his water fountain so no issues re dehydration I don’t think.
thanks x
