Ragdoll off her wet food

MrsBridgetMcClusky · 10/03/2026 19:41

My ragdoll (nearly 5yrs) has purina biscuits in the morning and Bella and Duke wet food for tea. The last week, she's eaten her biscuits but not touched her meat. I've had her about 16 months (adopted after she retired) so haven't encountered this before. She is well in herself and no changes in behaviour. Any advice welcome!

Ps when we are putting it down, she's scraping the floor to try to cover it.

Any advice related to my post, I should add 😆

I don't buy Purina products.
Try changing her food. You'd get bored having same food every day wouldn't you ?

Change her wet food? We swap food around all the time as it must be boring to eat the same thing all the time.

I'll try her with something different. Nothing to lose!

But out of interest, why don't they get bored of the biscuits?

I've changed her food to Southcliffe raw food, and so far so good 👍

Yeah, all cats I have had have got fed up of their pouch brands too, and wanted a change.

I think it's just cats in general.....

Out of interest, what did your cat retire from? I know it's not the purpose of the thread, I am just curious!

MrsBridgetMcClusky · 12/04/2026 21:54

Oh that's so funny that I'd put that she was retired but with no explanation! @Ilovelurchers She was a breeding queen. The breeder wanted her to go to a single cat home because she wasn't fussed on being around other cats. I can't say she's having a quiet retirement with us, but she's absolutely adored and she seems to be able to tolerate us well.

My cat won’t eat wet food 🤷‍♀️ she just eats kibble (James Wellbeloved.)
