As soon as my cat realises I'm talking on the phone (whether that is a mobile, a land line or even a Teams call) she goes mad! She jumps on me, climbs me, licks and head butts me and/or the phone/headset. She wont leave me alone until the call is finished. She does it with other people too but I'm her human so everything is exaggerated with me.
It doesnt matter who I'm talking to eg a stranger so it's not her recognising the voice. (Disclaimer - my DH is away at the moment and she is going especially mad if she hears him).
She could be in a seperate room and she'll come running. She could be cuddling/playing with someone and she'll come running. If she's on me already on my lap, she'll jump up and start. I could have been talking to someone in the room and she'll ignore me but as soon as she realises I'm on the phone, she's there.
I dont reinforce this behaviour, she's done it since we've had her.
I normally put it down to another annoying cat thing but as I say, DH is away and it is excessive when he calls. Which is kind of sweet but I'm concerned that will become her normal reaction.
