Feline plasma cell pododermatitis aka "Pillow Foot"

Has anyone got any experience in treating Feline plasma cell pododermatitis, also known as Pillow Foot

I believe our eldest cat, she'll be 12 in May, has it on all four feet. I'm not sure how long she's had it as she's rather aloof/timid, but we've noticed her claws getting stuck in the furniture more and more and I'm sure this is what she has as her pads look swollen/puffy

I have an appointment at the vets next week but I'm so worried she'll need surgery or very costly medication - which we just cannot afford (please, no judgement about having a pet we can't afford to treat - our circumstances are out of our control)

One of my cats had this. Got tablets which we reduced in frequency to now just one a month. Has now been a couple of years, and cat doesn't show any signs of pain or discomfort. We were so upset with the diagnosis, but it's been ok. I hope all goes well for you.

Thanks @JustAnotherSlob

I'm hoping she will respond to treatment, as I think it's quite a severe case 😟
