Tips on giving medication

Exactly that. We’re moving house. Mabel is generally prone to anxiety but all she usually requires to settle her usually is a few days of constant cuddles and even more play than normal. She’s an indoor cat so we’re not worried about her learning her way around a new area. But it does mean our house is all she knows so a new one is understandably very strange. Our last house move (8.5 years ago) was traumatic for her though and we have a Gabapentin prescription from the vet to try to help her this time. Any tips on actually getting her to take it though? I feel like there ought to be a way. What do people do if their cat is refusing life-saving medication for example? Any tips very welcome.

Is it tablet or liquid form? I have been to the vets before to get them to give a tablet to a cat.

Lik-e-lix

Either put it in a dish with crushed tablet/liquid mixed in or squirt a liquid medication down into the top one third of the tube.
Our cats don't hesitate.
