does daily vacuuming really help cat fleas?

I have a cat that goes into the back garden which has several neighborhood cats and foxes visiting everyday and night.

The cat was on 3 monthly flea treatment which cleared her off fleas but the vet ran out of it and gave us a monthly type, cat is showing signs of fleas again.

Vet thinks she should stay on monthly brand because she was getting a scab at the back of her neck which steroid tablets cleared. He thinks the old 3 monthly brand might have something the cat's skin is allergic to.

I vacuum the house once a week and wash bedding once a week.
But the advice on Google is to vacuum once or twice a day for 3 weeks and then every other day for up to 3 or 4 months. Cat goes under double beds which have storage items underneath and big sofa against a wall, really awkward to lift everything and get there everyday. Not keen to use flea bombs because I'm wary of their safety to us, even though brands claim they are safe you just never know.

Even if I vacuum daily, which I can see will help reduce fleas at home, the cat is still going to the garden and picking stuff there.

If you tell me it's definitely worth it still I will do it, but if you think it's not going to make a difference then I won't bother and I will go to the vets to try a stronger or different flea treatment. I'm looking for real cat owners experience as opposite to 'idealistic' AI and generic websites answers. the vet didn't comment on vacuuming or bedding, this is from my googling. If he had said to do it I would have. I just want to check if the online advice on vacuuming extent is actually accurate and worthwhile as it will definitely be a chore for me to vacuum the house thoroughly daily.

Thank you!

I use indorex spray, both as a treatment and a preventative. On the house, not the cat. I have to say the initial daily hoovering does help. I would hoover, then spray the whole house and go out for the day to let it all settle.

Ime yes.

I was staying at my parents’ house once and they were in denial about fleas and didn’t want to spray, so I vacuumed like crazy which kept it down until they went away and I could treat the cat.

Yes it does help ,also use Indorex and make sure you spray the hoover bag too.
