Trying to make a claim with Tesco!

Has anyone done this recently? My lovely boy was seen by the emergency vet last Sunday, then again by our normal vet on Monday and Tuesday. I have paid for each of these visits and want to claim on his insurance.

I have made a claim but all it did was give me a number and said they will contact the vet. Not sure I did it right? I'm hoping once they establish that he was seen they will let me upload the invoice, then give me the option to add the two from our normal vet? It's all the same condition/illness so I only want to have one claim going to only pay one excess fee.

Does this sound right? In 26 years having cats, I've never had to claim before. He is currently in the animal hospital being treated as there is something wrong with his liver. We took him there after Tuesday's visit to our vet so I am going to get them to claim direct for everything since then, but the £600 we've already paid out I would like back.

Sorry if that's waffle, my brain aches and all I can think about is how much I'm missing my boy.

Yes, don’t worry
I am with Tesco and they paid out 6k without asking a single question or for an invoice, my vets did it all

Thank you. We're up to about 2.5k and we have 5k cover. I think he'll be coming home tomorrow!

Oh that’s so good! I dropped mine off at the vet hospital then sobbed all over them Blush
i have used Tesco for years and never had an issue

I used Tesco for years with no issues and some large payouts. I paid the vet first then the vet dealt direct with them for the claim and sent them the invoices etc. I wasn’t involved at all until I got my money back

only reason I’ve changed now to pet plan is the lifetime cover you get that Tesco don’t do (or didn’t do at the time)

the claim was settled very quicky

its a stressful time, hope your boy is ok and comes home tomorrow

My cats have run up bills of around £27 k with Tesco. So I have submitted multiple claims! It’s usually very straight forward, fill in the paper or online form. Give it to the vet then wait for Tesco to process it.

I also had a mixture of direct payments and being reimbursed.
