My wee cat, my lovely wee girl was hit by a car earlier and she's gone. My heart is broken.

I am sorry for your loss. Hopefully there will be many friends to welcome her at the other side of the rainbow bridge.

one positive is she got to have live a life with the whole world on offer, free to catch any out of order leaf and shit in the weird neighbours garden 🐈‍⬛

Although it’s of no comfort just now at least you know what has happened and it’s not a case of she went out one day and didn’t come home…x

I'm just broken. She's in a box in the living room and I'm waiting up for my eldest to come home so I can comfort her.

I'm so very sorry. Your beautiful girl. Go gently with yourself over this first round of the day, and feeding time especially. The best advice I ever had was: feel all the feelings and let them come to the surface.

Also as much as it will kill maybe taking a paw print (loads of marker then on a bit of paper) might be something you would want to have/keep (a very personal thing so no right or wrong answer) x

Aw, I’m so sorry. We lost our boy last Feb. He was 20 though. How old was your girl? Please share pictures etc. Even though I was prepared for our cats passing due to age it was all the sounds he made that I missed most. His bell, paws on floors, purrs and meows.

She was 14. We got her when she was 1 year old from the shelter. I knew she was mine the minute I saw her.

I'm so very sorry, she looks be adorable & snuggly!

The only very small consolation is that you have her & that she's not missing & in pain somewhere xx

Dear @Americano75 she’s so beautiful and the pain you’re feeling must be immense. I lost one of our little cats in the same horrible way. Allow yourself to grieve, take comfort from your time together. I planted special flowers for all of mine who have gone. You never stop loving them.

Hi @Americano75 Our old boy was 14 too. It was hard. The vet arranged a cremation and return of ashes. I buroed them, planted a rose and had a little plaque engraved at Timpsons.

So sorry Americano she looks beautiful. Sending love and hugs, it’s always devastating to lose a cat, they are members of the family ❤️

I can't rage at the motorist, it was a total accident. My poor neighbour hit her on her drive and she's in bits too, which makes it worse. I'm so upset for her too.

So sorry for your loss 💐your cat is beautiful, a vet nurse gave us a clipping of our cat’s fur when we had to put him down, try to get one for you, was the last thing on my mind at the time but now I’m glad we can see his fur again xx

I can imagine your neighbour is devastated too, I have seriously thought if I ever hurt an animal when driving, I would have to give up my licence, I couldn't bear it. 💐💐💐
