Hi, I am looking for recommendations for preventative dental care for a two year cat. I am currently mixing ProDen plaque off with dry food every morning. Are there any other tried and tested products / tips? TIA

My vet recommended Logic Gel. The instructions say to brush it on the cat’s teeth if possible, but if not to get them to lick it off your finger or, if they won’t do that, smear some on a paw so they have to lick it off.

My girl enjoys licking it off my finger so it must taste good.

Gorgeous cat 😍
Virbac poultry enzymatic toothpaste is the best stuff. There's no replacement for teeth brushing. This comes with a little cat brush. My cat goes mad for it, she prefers it to likilix! Even just smearing it in their mouth helps as the enzymes help breakdown plaque.
I also use hills t/d kibble which also really works.

Thank you for the recommendation and the handy tips as well, I'll definitely look into this.

My vet once gave one of my cats some vanilla flavoured tooth paste. (Just why for an animal?!) she was remarkably cooperative but absolutely detested the taste. So gave up on that! Must admit that I’m glad my five year old exotic shorthair has recently all her teeth out. Shes a different cat and although my bank account isn’t happy, in future it will save me money!

I'm not sure they need it if they are fed a good diet
