DCat, 4, rescue 'feral' girl now very much self-domesticated. She has had a range of beds (favourites being cardboard boxes with towels/rugs etc in them) and happily uses them.
I have just found an old baby pillow and added it to her box, covered in a blanket. For the first time ever (she's been here 2 years) she has jumped in and spent the last 10 mins kneading the bed and purring loudly.
I do hope this is a sign that she approves!
