Wee outside the litter box help

I have 3 cats (1 mum and her two 1 year old kittens). They've been very happily using their litter boxes since I adopted them. Today I have twice had a large pool of wee outside one of the boxes. I haven't been able to identify which cat has done it. Never been an issue before and they are all spayed. I haven't made any changes and litter boxes are all clean as usual with their normal litter.

What could be causing it and what on earth do I do?

Puppy pads are good for accidents....surround the cat box and hopefully catch any accidents

Cats love pissing outside the box. At least it’s near the box and not on some random carpet elsewhere in the house. There’s no rhyme or reason to it.

Set up a camera to see who the culprit is and then take them to the vet to check for a UTI.

If everything is clear then I would look at the number of litter boxes and their environment to check it’s nothing territorial.
