Fur balls?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but do cats throw up a fur ball in the form of a 4 inch long thing that looks like a poop? I'm fairly new with cats and mine was sick on me this morning, but in quite solid form as described, so easy enough to clean up. She seemed fine after, and wanted to be fed, so I assume it's a fur ball rather than her being unwell.

Yes - that's a pretty typical description of a furball.

Girlcat is the furball queen of the South East, and yes hers look just like that - though 4 inches is rather long!

I alternate my cats usual (lightweight) dry with the Rotal Canin Hairball formula which seems to help, and they seem to prefer it above other dry foods they've had over time. You can also get various treats that can help, plus for indoor cats it's recommended that you grow a little pot of indoor grass as that helps too.
