My lovely cat Marmalade had to be put to sleep this day last year.
I rescued her from the streets after always seeing her around by mine wanting food and a little stroke but very skittish.

After a year she decided to just come in my house and never left, after a while i got her scanned the vet found she was 6yrs old and belonged to someone 20miles away who had not reported her missing for 2 or more years and actuarly kind of fogot about her.

After speaking to the registered person she agreed to transfer her over to me where she was so happy, such a submissive cat and although still a bit scared always slept on my pillow ( the only place she would really relax)

No sickness untill last Nov when she was treated for urine infection 2 rounds of meds didn't work, so on 6th jan last year she had a scan which showed a hugh mass in her stomach attached to organs, it was such a shock, nothing could be done so the day of diagnosis we had to PTS. I miss her every day but I know she had a good life with us.

On top of that my first cat Kiki (who i bought from a kitten) had tyroid issues which was trated with meds for 16m months but out of the blue last sept her stomach swelled up it was found she had a cancerous mass couldnt be treated so had to be PTS aged 10, so
9 months after Marmalade.

Miss her so much as well.

Got one cat left now Ginge who i rescued from the streets in 2020 she was a bit fiesty and is still scared of anything / anyone but shes a lap cat now and very attached to me.

Sorry for any one else that has or is going through the same.

All such beautiful cats. I'm sorry for your losses. You gave them all such a lovely life and lots of love by the sound of it, they couldn't have wanted for more.

Thanks Egglio
Silly as I know but just thinking about the 2 that have passed.
Ginge is fine at least, its hard as they become part of the family.

It’s really hard. I found the first year the hardest. Especially when they pooped up on time hop or memories.

I know and ive got pics on screen savers of the 2.
It doesnt seem like a year already that Marmalade passed but Kiki who died Sept just gone seems so long ago. Its weird.

So sorry for your loss, I was in your position this time last year, the first anniversary was the hardest for me, I still miss my boy and often look at my favourite videos and pictures of him.
They will always be in your heart, like a tender bruise. You rescued them and gave them a marvellous life, and your love for them will remain. Grief is the price of love, as the late queen said. 💐
