My darling girl has ongoing diarrhoea and weight loss plus is pooping everywhere in the house, a total change in behaviour.

We have done everything, changed diet to Scrumbles digestive care plus some Hills Science diet. We’ve added a probiotic to her food, she’s seen the vet three times and today will be having a scan,

bloods totally normal except urea which is double what it should be. That’s risen since Sept, and she has lost 0.5kg this month despite eating like a horse. She’s walking oddly too and not cleaning her back area.

So next step is a scan at a cool £850 …thank god for insurance. The visit on Friday was £280.
Also thank god for credit cards.

if it’s bad news I already know what we will do. I won’t put her through treatment which will make her feel awful. She is 12.5 yrs old. But god it’s going to be difficult dropping her off this morning.

she’s sat on me now purring her head off and we are having loads of fusses.

Bless her. Dropping off at the vet is so hard. I hope your both okay. My cat is going through very similar. Weight loss, leaking poo, diarreah and sickness. They did the same bloods and an ultrasound but said everything looked normal. She’s now stopped eating and will only eat Lix e Lix. She’s back at the vet today 🥲

Hope all goes well.

Thanks both, sadly not good news, they found a huge mass behind her bladder coming from the colon. Not treatable so we have made the kindest decision for her. Absolutely heartbroken but she was clearly not happy so best decision,

I still have my 16yr old cat although she has ongoing kidney issues not unexpected for her age.
