Cat threw up on the Christmas tree, fml

This morning, I was just sitting down to a nice coffee when I heard a dreadful gagging sound in the direction of the window.

One of my torties proceeded to puke on the windowsill, then downwards, hitting the tree, tree skirt, the wall, and skirting boards below and of course the carpet. It got into the side of the carpet in between the wall and boards, my other cat was trying to eat it before I shooed her out of the room - fml!

I'm on my hands and knees trying to clean stinky wet food sick off everything. Dr Beckmann's pet cleaner comes to the rescue, but Lord, it took forever to get it off stuff. I had to reapply it 3 times along with loads of wet and dry paper towels.

What's the worst place your cats have ever thrown up?

When I lived at home We had three cats who would race each other to bolt their food and often one would throw up straight after. They liked to sit in the boiler as it was warm (counter top height) and sometimes the vomit would land on the adjacent stove top.

One of them used to like chewing fabric. Threw up on the living room carpet one day and the vommy heap contained a pair of dolls knickers.

Siamese - nutters.

Oh I hear you. My seal point (passed over the rainbow bridge in April) loved a good vomit. She elevated it to an art form in her ingenuity (guess where I did it this time Mum?). Her favoured target was in our shoes. The screams of horror as she claimed another victim 🤢. Mind you, this girl was an apex predator-once trotted in with not one but two sparrows in her mouth. Never figured out how. God how I miss her.

Was in a tearing hurry one morning and my cat, who was sitting at the open kitchen window, perched on the frame beside the little one that opens at the top, decided to projectile vomit onto the worktop. So over the fruit bowl, bunch of paperwork, and straight into the bloody toaster.

Our Siamese has wall mounted shelves / walkways in the lounge and beneath them is a radiator and a settee , one evening she was sitting on the shelf and threw up on my sisters head / the back of the sofa and the radiator .

We’ve been woken up a few times by the sounds of the cat about to throw up. We then have to try and work out where she is in the room and get her onto the hard floor (not clothes/chair/desk/router) and once there, locate the mess so we don’t stand in it in bare feet.

We only have one place in our house with carpet: stairs and landing.
Where does the cat throw up most often? Stairs and landing.

I have given up on rugs in the living room for this reason, though the dog is actually the biggest culprit here, also for peeing on it when at home alone.

My first cat ( yes, a tortie) threw up very neatly in my coat pocket. I didn't find it until I put my hand in the pocket while wearing the coat.....
