Where to find a new kitten?

Currently catless and not loving it so looking for a new kitten.

Our favourite cat was a large fluffy black moggy and we do prefer long (or semi long) haired cats. But how do you go about finding one?

Looked at the RSPCA and we would have to get a pair and it is £170 each, which is crazy for a bog standard moggy.

We have 2 dogs and a teenager at home (ill health so taking a year out of education). Considering a pair but might just get 1, moggy, mixed breed or pure breed considering all options just don’t know where to look to get ethically bred.

Local CA rescue centres sadly still have September's round of kittens to home. If you would accept a slightly older kitten lots are available try Cats Protection League. They do tend to settle better in pairs especially if you have dogs.

Kitty Kat Rescue and Rehoming (WD19) - so, so many little ones waiting for loving homes

We got our cats from a local farm, they try and rehome the farm kittens so they don’t overrun the farm. Neither are particularly friendly though a spend most of their time outside.

It's bloody hard work! I had to make friends with the rescues and talk to them for months! The smaller independent ones are easier to deal with. Look on Facebook and find some local ones. I also agree fluffy boys rule! I wanted two fluffy boys but only one was left (despite me saying I would have two as soon as they were posted) but there was a girl from another litter who had been abandoned in a bin and put in with the fluffy litter so we had her as well!
