Stopping kitten licking spay wound

Any advice please, kitten was spayed today and has managed to wriggle out of her suit and won't wear the cone!

She doesn't seem to bothered about licking wound at the moment but what do we do tonight! Read somewhere about cutting holes in a long sock and putting that on! She's only small 1.5 kg

Wow, that is one little cat!
Yes it is very important that she has not have the ability to lick at her sutures/surgical site.
If you can find a sock that will properly fit her and not be too tight, that could work.
If she is so small that she can wriggle out of her surgical suit.
I hope that she feels better soon and I hope that you enjoy your lives together :-) thank you for being our responsible pet owner

Against veterinary advice, I don’t usually bother with cones after a kitten has been spayed. I find they usually want to clean off the smell of the vet and then ignore the wound. They’ve always healed without any issues and the cat has seemed much happier not needing to wear a cone or onesie. Appreciate this is undoubtedly very cat dependent and I’ve probably just got lucky every time.

Mine got the cone off in 20 mins.

suit took a bit longer.
She didn’t seem too bothered about the site so after trying socks, a bra and a bandage I gave up
