What could be wrong with my boy??

Lovely, usually greedy, boy cat is super off his food. Has barely eaten for a couple of days. First day or so I thought he just didn't like the food as I'd got a new type. So went out and bought the usual and the little pate ones with the gloopy stuff on top as he likes these as a treat. He licked the gloopy stuff off and has eaten a few hard cat treats but won't eat his usual dry food. Doesn't seem in any pain, drinking fine, no sick or runny poos. Active as usual but seems a bit 'off'. Got him in at the vets first thing in the morning but don't know if I'm over reacting as he seems fine. Will get him checked anyway. But any ideas??? Picture of my most precious boy as a cat tax.

Thanks for the kind support whilst I had my panic. He has just wolfed down a can of untamed chicken and has given himself wind. I guess I just wasnt catering to his fancy tastes

Of course he did. Now that you took him to the vet he will miraculously eat normally again.

Haha I could have written this post! My normally greedy cat refused food for most of this week. 2 vet visits, £300 and blood tests later she’s suddenly perked up and decided she’s hungry again and needs to make up for some lost time because her normal food regime isn’t enough apparently!
I’m feeling pretty rotten myself so wonder if she had some version of what I have?
