Seems to be a lot of posters with kittens right now so I kindly request anecdotes and photos of them with your Christmas trees 😁

New boy on tree day 1!

And tiny ginger baby 3 years ago - we had to remove the real tree after he got a tick 🙄 and he still climbed the crappy fake one.

No new babies in the house but the look on the faces of our two troublemakers said ‘Game On!’ When the tree arrived at the weekend. One has history for disappearing inside the tree, the other sits on the unit next to it and swipes any baubles in reach.

what does everyone do to manage the damage? Do you carry out adjustments and redecorate as the month progresses or just adopt an c’est la vie attitude?

We had the classic one year, cats tail caught in Christmas tree lights cable, cat trying to run away and pulling the tree over with it. Grab cat and try and untangle it as it decides to fight back, absolute chaos, very funny in retrospect. We had bird decorations in the tree another year with real feathers, they didn't last long! And you spend months finding baubles all round the house from cat football.

Cats think Christmas is just for them a lovely tree to play in and camped out in front of the oven waiting for the turkey to cook, cat heaven.

Here’s my beautiful boy from 2 years ago, when he was 6 months old.

How do I manage the damage? Badly!

it doesn’t help that my main tree is decorated with felt animals and angels etc which just look like cat toys!

so far no one has bitten through the wire for the lights though - which in 2023 meant stripping the tree twice and redoing the whole thing

This was dd's kitten "literally three minutes, mum!" after they put theirs up.

These photos 😍😍 and laughing at the stories! Thank you for sharing - cheering me on during a long week!

My cats never went near the tree - well I had one who used chew the odd branch. I'd love to have a kitten peeking out from the branches - even if they brought the whole thing down!

Our seven year old cat ignores the tree for about four nights, then pulls baubles and tinsel off. Unfortunately, the cat flap is in the extension of the living room, so he has night-time access to it. Luckily he never chews the tinsel, but you can hear him chasing the baubles during the night. In the day, he always turns around to ensure we're watching his antics before he starts!

Well she’s not a kitten but she posed herself by the tree then shouted at me until I took the picture, so she must want this to be shared!!
