Emergency or not?

D cat has a strange lump on his head with something sticking out of it. It clearly hurts him so I haven’t been able to investigate thoroughly, but just this evening I’ve noticed a nasty smell coming from it. Is it vet tomorrow or wait until Monday? He seems quite well in himself.

I’d take him in tomorrow. The smell will indicate an infection and he will most likely be in pain but masking it. Poor chap might have an infected wound that needs treatment and pain relief.

Sounds like a cat bite abscess. Unless he gets systemic symptoms (temp, lethargic) I'd take him tomorrow.
