Is the cat sick - or not? Wwyd

Cat was on part of the roof earlier. 16 year old cat. I thought she was stuck tbh. Miawing loudly at me. So I climbed the ladder to try to help her down. At which point it became apparent all was not well. She was sort of hiding on the roof and breathing heavy - at which point I concluded she was hurt or sick. I had to get DH to help me get her down. At which point she ran off and hid.

This went on for half and hour or so. Now she is back, has just eaten a full bowl is food and is now licking herself. No obvious sign of injury,

what do I do?

Personally if she's just eaten a bowl of food and is cleaning herself, in the absence of any obvious injury I would just keep an eye on her. My cat often turns up limping only to be caught doing cat yoga and perfectly fine hours later! Hope she is ok.

Thankyou. Yes I will.

My cat starts heavy breathing and meowing hard with runny eyes when she is very scared - usually from a vet visit.

She bounces back very quickly once the source of the fear is gone. If there are no further signs I'd say it was anxiety.

That would make sense - I think she couldn’t get down and was terrified! Thankyou
