Sleeping spots - rotation?

Hi,
We have a lovely four-year-old cat who spends nearly all of her time sleeping, as you would expect of any self-respecting cat.

She favours one spot in the house and sleeps there consistently for several months, and then moves onto another spot, and then another one.

My question is: will she eventually rotate back to one of the earlier spots? She utterly spurns her previous sleeping spots.

Im just curious.

Mine does this! And yes she does go back to previous spots. Just this month she's moved back to a previous chair and a different family member's bed. We joked about her having seasonal positions.

My cat has a number of sleeping spots, which he swaps around regularly. Sometimes he’ll use different ones during one day depending on the weather (in the sunshine if possible or in a cosy spot if it’s cold) and depending on if I’m around.
He’s a bugger for sleeping in clothes drawers or the airing cupboard but I’m so bad at closing them that I don’t blame him.

Ours has a daily timetable of spots when he’s in.

Morning - cat tree. Afternoon - in the utility room tucked away beside the washing machine on an old cat bed I put there out of the way. Evening - his actual bed by the living room radiator. Night - another cat bed by the kitchen radiator (he’s shut in the kitchen at bedtime).

The utility room gets cold so I think that spot will be switched up in the next few weeks!

We’re in NE Scotland and it’s starting to be quite chilly at night. I put the heating on for a bit on Friday evening and it was clearly a bit too warm for him!

Yes my 3 rotate between favourite spots. And also steal each other’s sleeping spots so they need to find new ones 😁

Thanks everyone!
One of her favourite spots earlier this year was an ad hoc crate tower of books and soft toys covered with an old blanket. I was going to send it all to charity, but perhaps I will keep it for now in case she decides to return there over the winter. She does like a high perch!
