Do you dry your cats off with a towel when they've been out in the rain? I do mine and she seems to quite like it, I wondered if this was normal?

Yes, he knows the routine now - quite enjoys a rub down with kitchen roll, then lies on his side to have his feet dried!

Yeah, mine like it. I just rub them with my hand as their coats dry really quickly.

Has anyone met a cat that wasn’t afraid of the hairdryer monster ?

My old boy, sadly no longer with us, used to love going out in the rain and would come back inside looking more like an otter than a cat. He would then loudly demand to be given a rub dry with a towel.

Next cat hated the rain and would check every door and window to see whether it had stopped. He would just about tolerate a rub dry afterwards if he did eventually decide to venture forth.

Yes, he demands it when he comes in wet . Seriously.

I just put a tea towel down and they come in and sit on it - easy. Next stop quick dry off.

Our cat is a fantastic weather man and comes home when it’s about to rain. He is only ever caught out if we are out or don’t spot him on the camera and then he hides under the outside sofa to keep dry.

Yes,he wasn’t keen but he tolerated a towelling. Brushing on the other hand, his favourite thing in The world, all day every day.

No but one of my cats loves a massage & can be quite demanding.

@RobinEllacotStrike my sister had a border collie she was the most beautiful dog, I used to give her a shoulder massage and she would keel over after a few minutes, critter massage is definitely a thing ❤️

Yes, I don't want them to put wet hairs on the furniture. One of them doesn't like it but it only takes a moment.

MaleCat goes out and comes back in with his fur all spikey with tiny raindrops .
DD tells him "You;ve got Diamonds in your Fur , Dex"

He leaps into his CatDen to dry off - after leaving the floor covered his his little wet paw prints

Yes - I wrap him up like a burrito around his body - then lift him up and down a couple of times on top of another towel to dry his paws.
He grumbles a bit!

I said upthread that our Female doesn't like rain but tonight when I went out to rescue my washing she slipped out and sat under a chair .
Glaring that it was All Your Fault , Mum and I needed to switch it off .
