Kitten food

Hi all
our kittens are now 10 weeks old, one of them eats like a horse but the other one barely eats anything. I’m giving them Sheba kitten wet food in jelly and whiskers biscuits.
I have tried so many different types of wet food and she just barely eats. The box says 2-3 pouches a day each but the smaller one barely eats 1/2 a pouch a day.
is there anything i can do to encourage her to eat more? I already keep the bigger one away while she is eating so she doesn’t push her off her food or interrupt her.

Is she healthy otherwise? Is she eating the dry food, and is she drinking water?
My previous cat would eat 1 pouch most days. The current one seems permanently hungry.
She's adorable.

yes very healthy, had her first jabs etc. eats a bit of the dry food but not more so than the wet and drinks water as much as her sister.

She's probably eating enough. My search said about 360 calories a day.

@BettyTurpinPies thank you. She is due back at the vets on 20th for next jabs etc so will check with the vet too

Very cute, what breed is she?

cattwosiblings · 07/09/2025 20:01

My cats always went off food and I would have to try new brands

@BettyTurpinPies my apologies, 2 kittens looking especially cute for tax

@cattwosiblingsjust a mixed breed I think. Just pretty 😂. Did you have to change food gradually or just swapped over?

We have 2 kittens, a brother and sister.

The boy was the runt and tiny but eats all his food and is so big now at 4.5 months.

The girl eats half as much as her brother and is very slight.

But we went to the vets and they said it’s absolutely normal and that they are both good weights. Just very different appetites and temperaments 😊

BettyTurpinPies · 07/09/2025 20:21

They're so cute! Thanks.

I have always swapped if they are not eating, but sure you could do a gradual change. I have my eye on a FB advert about cat food which looks like mainly meat, but cannot remember the name
