So i have a 8 mth old kitten that has been going out for the past couple of months. I cannot for the life of me get on top of the fleas though. Ive tried the tablets, the spot ons the sprays, the shampoos - all different brands. I have spent over 100 pounds on it which I can ill afford and I cannot get them to go. They go for a couple of days then they are back. Id make him an inside cat if I could but when i try he just howls at the door - so much so my neighbour called me when at work worried about him.

What do I do??? Anyone been through this and have any recommends?

R.I.P fleas for the home.

advantage flea for the kitten.

you have to wash everything so beddings, blankets etc and hoover every nook and cranny! Then spray leave for 24 hours then hoover. Repeat this every year to keep on top of it. Also remember to flea your kitten every month.

We have those flea traps with a light in almost every room in the house. I shake and vac with salt which kills off the eggs and they can’t develop immunity too (it dehydrates them). The cats get regular flea pills whether fleas are visible or not (coated in butter inside a small chunk of meat).

We fought fleas constantly for ten years - until our next door neighbours moved out, and the fleas left too. So there may be a reservoir of them that keep reinfecting you. Or it may be coming from rats.
