Does anyone else’s cats not even attempt to bury their poo after using the litter tray? Thought cats were meant to bury it?

Mine sometimes does but other times she leaves it unburied and runs over mewing to tell me to muck out her tray. Thanks 😂

we have three cats :
One cat only goes outside in the garden, one does garden and lit tray and covers up, one only does lit tray and never covers up
😂

Our male always does , and always pees in the corner ) his tray is a huge underbed plastic storage drawer thing with the wheels off ( so he pees on the wheel-arch for added difficulty cleaning)
Our female never does , just leaves it sitting there , walks past us with a "Yeah you might want to sort that "

Our boy sometimes pees in the garden border but otherwise they use the trays

I have 3 all female and not one of them bury it, it’s driving me mad!

Apparently it's a way to mark territory. Cat number one didn't burry today and then cat number two came and did it. No 2 then came back after 5 mins to do it's own business.

There is another litter box he could have used. Go figure.

Oh that makes sense I have 4 litter trays but they seem to use one more than the others which made no sense as I thought surely they’d want to use a clean one 😒
