11 year old cat lost weight plus lump on back

Worried about my cat. He has a lump on his back about the size of a fig that I discovered today. I think he’s lost weight too. I’ve requested an appointment with the vet and they’ll get back to me within 24 hours. Could it just be a reaction to the antibiotic injection he received 5 weeks ago? Added photos of his weight loss as I’m worried not also I’m not sure if I’m just imagining it.

I’m sure he’s fine. I just have a bad feeling about the weight loss combined with the lump. Surely it wouldn’t present so quickly though if it was anything sinister?

Cats do react to injections. I don't know about antibiotics, but vaccines certainly. However, your cat's symptoms could be caused by any number of issues, so the best person to advise would be the vet. In the meantime, give your lad a cuddle from me. He's lovely, isn't he? 🤍🖤
