Hi all, currently looking after a 13 week old kitten for someone whilst on holiday and have noticed fleas on her, she was treated with Front line 2 weeks ago yesterday- is there anything I can do? 🙏🙏 I've tried a nit comb but doesn't work xx

You need something prescribed by a vet , frontline doesn’t work well , can you get hold of the owners and see if they are ok for you to take the cat to the vet ?

So I just phoned my vet and they said I couldn't do anything for 2 weeks (until her last treatment expires) - guess I've got a flea infested house to look forward to for the next few months 🙃 we've got her for another 8 days.

I don't think anyone can answer this question properly unless you post a photo of the kitten 😀

Give her a bath to remove the fleas and treat your house?

NotDarkGothicMama · 08/08/2025 15:24

Flea bath and comb out the kitten. Flea bomb your house while the kitten's being treated. That should help a lot.

Whatever you do, don’t buy Bob Martin flea treatment. It has killed so many cats there’s a Facebook page- no idea if or how it’s still trading.

Yeah bathe her and nit comb her. And indorex for the house

Dunnoburt · 08/08/2025 17:33

Thank you all so much, I bought a flea comb so will give that a go - already have Indorex and flea bombs - id love to post a picture but very outing! She's such a gorgeous little thing I'm in love!!! 😍

When you bath her the fleas will jump onto you and all over the place. They can jump many feet in the air. Just saying so you know to keep the shower curtain round the bath or wgatever to keep them confined.
