Mystery illness…help!

Adopted a cat back in June from the CPL. 1 year old female, fit and healthy, no dramas.

Started letting her out just over a week ago (fully vaccinated/chipped/neutered etc) and all seemed fine until Sunday morning when she just stopped eating and drinking, and was straining to open her bowels but only drops of mucous were coming out. She also vomited twice-very watery and mucousy.

Thought we’d keep an eye but she worsened throughout the day and by Monday morning she was really crashed out-so lethargic and sad, and had stopped passing urine and still wasn’t drinking or eating.
Got her to the vet who put her on IV fluids, did bloods (all normal) and gave her some anti sickness meds. She came home for the night on Monday but still no eating or drinking. Back again Tuesday for another day of fluids and they also started her on antibiotics. Home in the night time and definitely perked up so by Weds she was behaving more normally but still not eating or drinking. Day at the vets on fluids again on Weds-repeat bloods (normal) and they started getting her to eat!

So she came home minus her cannula yesterday evening, much thinner and still not herself but eating small amounts and starting to wee normally.
However she was still showing signs of being nauseous.
Today she is brighter and I thought we were on the turn….she ate quite a bit and seemed to be perking up although I hadn’t seen her drink.
Then she starts having diarrhoea. And about an hour after eating at around 2 she goes into the garden and does an enormous vomit of partially digested food which clearly has not made its way beyond her stomach.

What on earth could be wrong with her?? Do I just keep monitoring or do I get her back to the vet tomorrow? She’s booked for a check up next week but I can’t work out what is making her like this and am so worried

Any advice or suggestions much appreciated 🙏

She needs a scan to make sure she doesn’t have a blockage - I’m shocked this hasn’t been done already, in all honesty.

They didn’t mention anything about scans-I didn’t ask for one as assumed they would say if they felt like that’s what she needed 😕
