Lethargic after worming

Wormed both our boys this morning and they have spent the rest of the day asleep - not unusual for a cat I know!!! But a little unusual for them. It’s now past 8pm and they normally disappear from the house around 7pm not to return till dark and they’re both just sound asleep. If I try and wake them, they get up, stretch then go straight back to sleep. Managed to actually get one up, he had a mooch around the garden, ate some dry food and has now come back in and gone back to sleep. The other one was literally falling asleep sitting up!

I'm hoping as it’s both of them, that means it is the worming tablet as it would be hugely coincidental for them both to suddenly have fallen ill at exactly the same time.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Don’t remember it happening last time.

Weirdly my cat was the same when I did her a couple of weeks ago, I don’t remember her ever being like this before either. I do her every 3 months and she’s 6, and it’s the same tablet from the vet as all the other times. I thought it was maybe just a combination of the meds & it being so warm. She was fine after a day or two though.

Thanks for the reply. I definitely can’t remember them being like this last time. They slept all night then suddenly got the zoomies at 5am - so much so I had to put them outside as they were racing around the house waking us all. Safe to say…they’re back to themselves this morning 😂
