Cat shelter for patio?

Am getting rid of a table on the patio as its too big and doesn't get used except by our cat. She loves sitting under the table. It keeps her dry when there's rain, shaded in the sun and she can see the whole garden/survey her domain.

Naturally, being cat slave, I'm worried about upsetting the furry overlord.

Where do your cats sit (if they're outdoor cats)? Is there some kind of cat shelter I can set up for her?
DH has suggested an upturned chair with a cover over it but that doesn't sound safe or practical.

Mine have a little house with a balcony in the back garden it’s not very big but they use it lots!

I bought a wooden cat box from Amerzon a few years ago still going strong.

The lid on top opens and when closed cat can sit on top in the sun.
There is also a front entrance with flaps ( can be with or without if cat doesn't like it) that the cat goes inside.

One of mine loves it, uses the box in winter / rain.

I put a smallish blanket in it and put it sideways on my old garden swing which is covered with a tarpaulin cover with zips at each end for winter/ rain.

No rain gets and shes is snug as a bug. I can unzip one side to see if she is in there or if I want to get her inside.

If you just put it on the floor its still good it has adjustable legs but I would look at some small bit of tarpaulin etc to cover top sides and secure cover under legs as I think it would rot over time if wet.

The other cat prefers to go on the garden settee so I put a old sheet / blanket on the it then her cat bed with small blanket, its also covered to stop rain getting in and she loves it.

You can get plastic type ones also.

Depending on finances, there's some great outdoor cat "houses" on Amazon. You can get rabbit hutch type ones like the one @Oxo01 has for about £30, and if you really splash out for about £80-odd you can get one like THIS .

The ones my cats use the most are the mr snugs cat den; weatherproof and with a fleece padded liner and cat flap if wanted, it gets used summer and winter.

£30 off EBay, it was brand new too!
