11 year old kitty has developed this sore over her eye. It started out as a small type scratch, but is getting bigger. I thought she'd perhaps been scratched by my other cat, but apparently it can be caused by allergies. She does have a gastro intestinal intolerance and can only eat hydrolysed, but does steal the other cats food if she can get to it.
She saw the vet and received flea and worming treatment and has antibiotics for a smelly ear - also some ear drops to help clean it out. Vet said she couldn't see anything obvious like a foreign body in the ear. Ear is now clean and no longer smells.
Anyone come across this before? She just potters around the garden. No fighting with other cats. I've been bathing it with cat safe antibacterial liquid and warm water. Haven't seen her scratching or fiddling with it.
