I have a seven year old cat and have only had insurance sporadically. I’m now thinking I should really get it . I’m completely bewildered by all the multiple choices. Which insurer should I choose? I think Tesco are supposed to be good. Is life cover the best? I don’t know where to start.

My 2 are with ManyPets. Yes I'd get the lifetime cover

Any reason for choosing them? The quotes are coming out at £20 which seems very steep.

What have your other quotes come out as?
Look at excess charges too and how much cover is offered

All around £20.
I have no idea what cover to choose really. Last time I had it it was about £15 a month.

We're with Pet Protect for our dog. He became ill less than a year after we took out insurance. Vets bill was about £400, we claimed online, sent invoice and necessary info from vet, they paid within days.

More than happy

Oh we pay just under £20

Do bear in mind that if your cat has been to the vets in the last 7 yrs with any issues you may have exclusions on the policy . Our cat is with Petplan but it’s way more than £20 per month for top level cover

We went with Many Pets for our boy and they were brilliant. Very slow payers but kind and never quibbled about a claim
