I have already posted this but only got one response so thought I'd change the title. 😅

I've noticed this on my cats leg, it's hard to picture but it's almost a perfect square.

She's eating and drinking fine, regularly flead and wormed and there's no signs of her having either of these. She's eating, drinking and absolutely fine within herself. Has anyone's cat had anything like this before? I'm worried someone has shaved her 😬 although not sure why someone would do that 😅 don't really want to take her to the vet if I can avoid it but if I have to I will and will suffer the fall out! Also if I touch it she doesn't react

Looks like overgrooming to me which usually means either pain or stress. How old is she? I had a cat with this and it turned out to be arthritis. I would check with the vet to be sure.

Could be over grooming from allergies. Does it feel shaved?

Papergirl1968 · 26/06/2025 15:59

Does she go out? Is she chipped?
I wonder if she has another family nearby who have taken her to the vet for some reason? My cat had shaved paws when he recently had to in for blood tests and fluids.

This did happen to our late DCat, but on his neck.
The fur grew back and it always remained a mystery. The only thing I could think of was he climbed through or under something sharp, possible a fence that took away the fur. Either that or alien abduction.
